Trailmaster Wadi Degla
Trifactory returns to Wadi Degla Protectorate for Trailmaster Wadi Degla 2022, one of the most successful dedicated trail running events of the organizer. The 2022 edition will bring more challenges to the same, beautiful landscape in Cairo.
Trifactory At Wadi Delga
Trailmaster Wadi Degla 2022 follows the success of Trifactory’s previous events of the same name and the El Wadi Trail Run. The 2022 edition offers 5K (Trailsprinter), 10K (Trailracer), and 21K (Trailblazer) race categories, so it’s mainly open for all ages.
All three race categories are officially self-supported. Meaning, the organizer will only provide emergency aid stations available at the halfway point for each distance. Participants are encouraged to fuel and hydrate accordingly, especially since the event is expected to be a hot and dry race in the middle of a valley.
The race comes with professional timing services, Endurance League points, and race medals. As such, participants should compete to win. The points and medals can boost Trifactory rankings and offer opportunities to participate in Trifactory’s exclusive events.
Timing and Location
Trailmaster Wadi Degla 2022 takes place at Wadi Degla Protectorate on the outskirts of Cairo. The venue is a 12-km long canyon and desert land that serves as a protective area for the wildlife it houses. Wadi Degla Protectorate is only minutes away from Maadi, the suburban district in Cairo, so participants can reach the venue through various public or private transportation modes.
The event returns on Friday, September 16. Participants should be at the venue between 5:30 AM to 6:15 AM to check-in and receive their race numbers. The race, including all three categories, will begin at 6:30 AM.
