L’Étape Egypt 2023 by Tour De France

L’Étape by Tour de France is set to take place in Egypt this 2023–becoming the first edition of the newly-found Étape du Tour d’Égypte. Cycling enthusiasts from around the world will converge on this ancient country to experience the thrill and challenge of riding against history.

L’Étape Egypt, part of the renowned Tour de France international series, is meticulously crafted by experts to replicate the quintessential French experience of L’Étape du Tour. The event embodies the very essence of the Tour de France, adhering to world-class standards to ensure that cyclists immerse themselves in the exhilarating atmosphere of the French cycling race while encountering similar challenging conditions.

L’Étape Egypt presents two main options – the Race and the Ride – catering to both competitive cyclists seeking a challenge and leisure riders wishing to enjoy a scenic circular route around Egypt.

• The Race – 170 KM (Mountain)
• The Ride – 40 KM (Flat)
• Family Ride – 6 KM (Flat)

Timing and Location

L’Étape Egypt is scheduled to take place over the course of two thrilling days from September 21 to 22 in the vibrant city of Sharm el Sheikh. This carefully selected timeframe allows participants to fully immerse themselves in the essence of the event under good weather. The Family Ride officially opens the event on September 21, while the main competition – Race and Ride – will launch on September 22.
