The Cairo Half Marathon returns in March 2024, a momentous occasion for running enthusiasts and the local community alike. Cairo Runners, together with I-Events, will host the marathon in the vibrant streets of Cairo.
Cairo Comeback in March
The Cairo Half Marathon is a celebration of community, determination, and the joy of active living. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-timer, this event welcomes participants of all levels to share in the exhilaration of pushing their boundaries and achieving their goals.
This year, Cairo Runners offers a new set of distances to cater to all levels of runners and walkers:
- 21KM – For the seasoned athletes looking for a challenging half marathon experience
- 10KM Run – Perfect for those aiming to push their limits and achieve personal records
- 5KM Fun Run – Join in the fun and enjoy a leisurely run through the heart of Cairo
- Family Run – A special category designed for families to bond over a healthy and active day out
Timing and Location
The Cairo Half Marathon 2024 opens its doors on March 1, 2024, at Heliopolis in Merryland, one of the oldest streets in Egypt. The Hub, a 3-day expo for the marathon, will open from February 27 to 29.

About the Organizers
The Cairo Half Marathon is the official organization handling the event annually. Its partner, Cairo Runners, is the first street-running sports community in Egypt. They provide mini-marathons and promote environmental sustainability in sports.
