This page explains how to update content on the site without touching code.

Updating events

Go to WP Admin → Events. Each event has a featured image, date, city, sport, and description. Change the status from “Upcoming” to “Past” once the event is finished.

Updating clubs

Go to WP Admin → Clubs. Add a logo or hero image, fill in social links, and assign a sport and location.

Writing blog posts

Go to WP Admin → Posts → Add New. Use the standard Gutenberg editor (headings, paragraphs, images, quotes) and assign a category from the right sidebar.

Featured images on blog posts

Always set a featured image on a blog post before you publish it. The featured image is what shows up as the thumbnail in the Recent Articles sidebar on every other post, in social previews when someone shares the link, and on the blog index. Without one, the post falls back to a plain grey square in the sidebar, which looks broken.

To set it: open the post in WP Admin, scroll the right sidebar to Featured image, and pick a photo from the Media Library or upload a new one. Landscape, at least 1200 pixels wide, is the safest shape — it crops cleanly to both the square sidebar thumb and the wide blog-card image.

Newsletter signups

Email addresses captured by the yellow newsletter band at the bottom of every page go straight to the Mailchimp audience. There is nothing to manage in WP Admin. To export, send a newsletter, or change the form, log into Mailchimp directly.
