For the first time ever, Power Ride Sports will introduce a new series of road racing challenges in Egypt. The first road race officially begins in Galala City on April 1, marking the beginning of the series.
The First Climb
Kicking off the series with The Climb’s debut, Power Ride Sports will bring participants to a challenging venue with a 15km uphill climb from sea level, up to 700m above. On top of the complicated location, The Climb also functions as a time-trial race where participants will start on their own, then the race time starts from the second they pass the start line until they cross the finish line.
All participating cyclists competing in The Climb are required to respect the start time based on their bib, bring their own helmets, and follow strict rules and regulations, such as the following:
- Headphones or any electronic devices are not allowed
- Participants can only cycle on the right side of the road
- Drafting is not allowed
- Overtaking other athletes can only be done from the left side
Timing and Location
The race will take place on April 1, 2022, in the beautiful city of Galala in northeast Egypt. It will officially start in Galala resort by the sea and finish at the top of Galala International City by the Galala Plateau Corniche.
The registration for The Climb is open online. Head to this link to register, read the full terms and conditions, and make payment. The Early-bird registration is priced at 550 EGP until February 26, while the regular registration costs 650 EGP. The last day of registration is on March 17.
