Sodic Charity Run East

The SODIC Charity Run returns, but this time in the East, and is set to take place on Friday, April 11th, 2025. Organized by The TriFactory, this exciting run features two thrilling race formats designed to accommodate all levels of runners.

Run for the Heart

SODIC Charity Run, organized by The TriFactory and in support of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, offers a range of options to cater to different running abilities and interests. Participants can choose between:

• 5K Race: A fast-paced 5,000-meter road race, professionally timed using the MyLaps Timing System to ensure accuracy. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply looking to enjoy the experience, this race offers the perfect blend of challenge and fun. Each participant will receive a race number, a high-quality race t-shirt, and a premium race medal at the finish line as a testament to their achievements.
• 21K Relay Race: A test of teamwork and endurance, the relay can be completed by teams of 2, 3, or 4 runners, each taking turns to conquer the half marathon distance. The race is also professionally timed, and all team members will receive a race number, race t-shirt, and premium race medal at the finish.

Timing and Location

The SODIC Charity Run East takes place on April 11, at SODIC East, New Cairo, a prime location known for its open green spaces and community-oriented design. Nestled between the Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ismailia roads, and adjacent to Al Shorouk City and the New Administrative Capital, SODIC East offers a stunning backdrop for an exhilarating race experience. Designed by the prestigious Massachusetts-based Sasaki, the development features 84% open areas, ensuring plenty of space for runners to enjoy a smooth, scenic course.

• 7:00 am – 7:45 am : Arrival & Race Number Collection at SODIC East Sports Club
• 7:45 am : Warm-Up & Final Announcements, Runners Head to the Start Line
• 8:00 am : Races Begin (21K Relay & 5K Race)
• 10:30 am : Awards Ceremony for 21K Relay & 5K Race Winners

Early-Bird Registration Phase (Monday, March 10th – Tuesday, March 18th)

• EGP 600 – 5K Race
  EGP 2000 – 21K Relay

General Registration Phase (Wednesday, March 19th until Wednesday, April 2nd)

• EGP 750 – 5K Race
• EGP 2500 – 1K Relay

Late Registration Phase (Thursday, April 3rd – Subject to availability)

• EGP 900 – 5K Race
• EGP 3000 – 21K Relay
