Ramadan Mental Wellbeing Hikes With Sherief
In a unique initiative blending mental well-being, spiritual reflection, and ecotourism, Eco Egypt, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), presents the Ramadan Mental Wellbeing Hikes.
A Journey for the Body, Soul, and a Greater Cause
Set in the serene landscapes of Wadi Degla Protectorate, this series invites participants to disconnect from daily stress and embrace the restorative power of nature—all while contributing to a meaningful cause. Leading the journey is Sherief Elabd (شريف العبد), an athlete, ultra-runner, mountaineer, and speaker, whose passion for outdoor challenges and mental resilience adds a unique dimension to the experience.
Enhancing the experience, guest speakers—dedicated volunteers supporting a charitable cause—will share insights and inspiration along the way. Participants can look forward to a peaceful trek through nature, engaging in meaningful conversations, and breaking their fast in a serene, reflective setting.
Ramadan Mental Wellbeing Hikes are designed to be light and accessible, so they are suitable for all fitness levels. However, it is recommended for participants aged 15 and older.
