OCEANMAN, the premier organizer of global open-water swimming competitions, will host its Soma Bay edition in Egypt this October. OCEANMAN promises to be a remarkable celebration of the sport, bringing together athletes from around the world in a breathtaking setting.

OCEANMAN Soma Bay 2023 offers five categories: OCEANMAN (10KM), Half-OCEANMAN (5KM), Sprint (1.5 KM), OceanKids (500m), OceanTeams (3x500m), and OceanFins (1KM).
To take part in the OCEANMAN, Half OCEANMAN, and Sprint categories, participants have to earn a qualification slot either by participating in OCEANMAN 2023 races around the world or qualifying in the top 10 of the OCEANMAN in any age category—Inspiration (swimmers with disabilities greater than 33%), Junior (14-19), and Master (20 to 60+).
For OceanKids, male and female swimmers from 7 to 14 years of age can join. For OceanTeams, male, female, or mixed groups from 12 years of age can join. And lastly, for OceanFins, participants from any age group is welcome to join.
The event will award the top 3 positions and prize money for the overall male and female categories and another top 3 for each male and female category in OCEANMAN, Half OCEANMAN, and Sprint categories. All other participating swimmers, meanwhile, will get a finisher medal.
Timing and Location
Mark your calendars and get ready for a day filled with thrilling races and memorable experiences! OCEANMAN Soma Bay takes place at Sheraton Beach from October 20 to 21, 2023.
Registration and expo are both scheduled on October 20, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Race day is on the 21st, and here’s the full schedule and location for each category:

Registration for OCEANMAN Soma Bay is open online. Participants can register at OCEANMAN’s official website and secure slots for their respective events.

OCEANMAN is the first and most prominent organizer of global open-water swimming competitions. The first competition was born on the island of Cozumel, Mexico, in 2016. From North America, OCEANMAN hosted inspiring competitions on six more continents.
