IRONMAN 70.3 SHARM EL SHEIKH

  • Oct 16, 2026
  • Jaz Dreams

ABOUT THE EVENT

IRONMAN 70.3 Sharm El-Sheikh is Egypt's newest addition to the IRONMAN 70.3 global triathlon series. The 2026 race centers on Jaz Dreams in Naama Bay, combining a 1.9 km swim in the crystal-clear Red Sea with a 90 km bike course along Sharm's coastal roads and a 21.1 km half-marathon finishing by the sea. It takes over from the previous IRONMAN 70.3 Egypt edition held in Sahl Hasheesh from 2021 to 2023.

Terrain & elevation

The race is set between the Red Sea coastline and the Sinai mountains. The swim takes place in Naama Bay — calm, warm, highly buoyant salt water with excellent visibility. The 90 km bike is a single loop on wide tarmac including long, straight sections along Sharm's coastal roads, framed by desert and mountain scenery. The 21.1 km run is a coastal course that finishes by the sea, mostly flat to gently rolling.

Expect warm-to-hot dry desert conditions (typically 28–33 °C in October), strong sun exposure on the bike, and possible coastal wind.

Practical information

Race hub: Jaz Dreams, in Naama Bay, hosts the IRONMAN Village, athlete check-in, race-kit pick-up and the single transition area.
