Half Ultramarathon Egypt

Half Ultramarathon Egypt is set to host the fifth year of its brand series “Ultra Marathon” this January. On the 28th of January, the event returns to Wadi Degla Protector with Night Runners and interested participants for a new set of challenging races.

Half Ultramarathon Egypt: 5th Edition

The Ultra Marathon brand series is a set of annual running events. It aims to help runners challenge themselves and go beyond the normal running activities during training to smash new goals. As such, it offers the following distances to help participants of all levels reach their training goals:

• Starter Ultra: 6 km
• Intermediate: 12Km
• Half Ultra: 25 km

All distances will be recorded using the Mylaps Timing System, an automated system. The event will also honor the top three runners per category and the first age groups.

Timing and Location

Participants of the Half Ultramarathon will run the whole course of the race in the unique trail of Wadi Degla Protector, a protected area in Maadi, Cairo. The event and its three race distances will all start and conclude on January 28, 2022, starting at 6:00 AM.

The classic tickets come with an automated tracking system and a finisher’s medal at the finish line, while the premium ones include an additional t-shirt and race bag. Water, refreshments, and medical support will be available during the course for all participants.

About the Organizers

Night Runners is an amateur sports club in Egypt that focuses on triathlon and multi-sport beach races. They host, compete, and join beach races, weekly workouts, and even cleanup programs. Members of Night Runners mainly operate in Cairo, Egypt.
