Ghazala Bay Open Water Festival

Boost Egypt will host the Ghazala Bay Open Water Festival this August. The festival is one of this year’s biggest swimming competitions open to all ages, offering various obstacles and water sports that can challenge everyone’s physical and mental abilities.

Water Festival in the Bay

The Ghazala Bay Open Water Festival is a huge swimming competition open to swimmers and participants of all ages and abilities. It welcomes amateur and professional athletes, as well as families with members as young as 8 years old.

Here are the race categories per age group:

• 4 km and 2 km with a minimum age of 12 yrs old
• 1 km with a minimum age of 10 yrs old
• 300m for age range 7 to 10 yrs old
• Aquaman 0.6 Challenge (Teams of 3)

Timing and Location

The Ghazala Bay Open Water Festival will take place on August 5, Friday, at the crystal clear waters of Ghazala Bay North Coast Egypt, one of the most successful private developments in the area. The actual bay offers luxury accommodation in a private paradise.

• 7:15 to 8 AM – Kit pickup
• 9 AM – 4km and 2km race start
• 11 AM – 1km race start
• 11:45 AM – 300m race start
• 12 PM – Aquaman 0.6km start
• 12:30 PM – Closing ceremony
