Cross Egypt Challenge

Cross Egypt Challenge, an international cross-country motorcycle and scooter rally based in Egypt, will introduce its biggest cross-country rally yet this October. The event will explore the whole of Egypt, challenging participants to further their experiences and destinations as riders.

Cross-Country Rally in Egypt

The rally is a 2-week event packed with adventures and activities within the country. There will be riding sessions with distances ranging from 90 KM to 455 KM. Aside from the main rally, Cross Egypt Challenge also prepared tours, entertainment, and ceremonies for all the riders participating.

Timing and Location

Cross Egypt Challenge 2022 will explore the entirety of Egypt, emphasizing the landmarks accessible by motorcycles and scooters—mainly Cairo and Alexandria—from October 1 to 15. Below is the full schedule and itinerary of the rally:

October 1 to 5

• Pre-event – Arrivals of early-arriving participants, and optional tours in Cairo and Alexandria

October 6

• Day 1:Early AM: pick up participants from the airport
• AM: team orientation meetings in Alexandria
• PM: free evening

October 7

• Day 2:Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Alexandria
• Ride for 440 km (Estimated riding time: 8 hours)*
• PM: arrive at Ras Sidr and overnight

October 8

• Day 3:Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Ras Sidr
• Ride for 365 km (Estimated riding time: 6 hours)*
• PM: arrive in Dahab and overnight
• PM: optional tours

October 9

• Day 4:Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Dahab
• Ride for 90 km (Estimated riding time: 2 hours)*
• PM: arrive at Sharm Elsheikh and overnight
• PM: optional tours

October 10

• Day 5:Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Sharm Elsheikh
• Ride for 440 km (Estimated riding time: 8 hours)*
• PM: arrive at Ain Sokhna and overnight

October 11

• Day 6:Early AM: daily brief

• PM: arrive in Hurghada and overnight

• Day 9:Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Luxor
• Ride for 455 km (Estimated riding time: 8 hours)*

October 15

• Day 10: Early AM: daily brief
• Early AM: start from Minya
• Ride for 280 km (Estimated riding time: 4.5 hours)*

• PM: closing ceremony under the Great Pyramids of Giza

• PM: departure of international and local riders

Registration Information

The registration for Cross Egypt Challenge is open online. Head to this link to register, read the terms and conditions, and finalize your payment. The rider registration fee is USD 2,500 per person for non-Egyptians and EGP 19,900 per person for Egyptians. The registration fee for accompanying participants is USD 2,400 per person for non-Egyptians and EGP 18,900 per person for Egyptians.

About the Organizer

Cross Egypt Challenge is an international cross-country motorcycle and scooter rally aiming to promote Egyptian tourism. Cross Egypt Challenge is an FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) adventure touring rally and is running under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the Egyptian Ministry of Sports, and the Egyptian Tourism Authority.
