City Edge OlympiX in New Alamein City

Organized by Cairo Runners in collaboration with City Edge Developments, this dynamic sports festival unfolds in the scenic coastal city of New Alamein from May 1st to 3rd, 2025, promising an unforgettable weekend packed with athletic action, entertainment, and fun for everyone.

Seven Sports, Endless Celebration

City Edge OlympiX 2025 brings together sports enthusiasts for three exciting days of competition and entertainment. Choose from seven thrilling sports disciplines: Cycling, Beach Volleyball, CrossFit, Kayaking, Basketball, Football, Padel, and Running. Highlighting the festival is the OlympiX Run, featuring 10K, 5K, and a Family-Friendly 2K run, making sure everyone from seasoned runners to young families can join the fun.

Whether you’re aiming to showcase your athletic prowess, rack up points for your team, or just soak in the vibrant atmosphere, there’s something here for you. Participants can enter a minimum of one and up to four sports events, earning valuable points to boost their team’s ranking on the Entities Leaderboard. Teams should have between 10 to 25 participants, with special awards awaiting the top three teams.

Timing and Schedule

The festival kicks off in the vibrant coastal atmosphere of New Alamein City on May 1st with registration, kit collection, and interactive mini activations. May 2nd is packed with thrilling group stages, knockout rounds, and the much-anticipated OlympiX Run, followed by a vibrant evening performance by Disco Misr. May 3rd sees competitors battling it out in semi-finals and finals, concluding with a grand closing ceremony and entertainment session, promising a memorable end to a spectacular weekend.

Registration Information

Participants can register individually or as teams, selecting from one to four sports disciplines. Transportation from Cairo and Alexandria is available at an additional cost. Spots are limited, so early registration is advised. Head to this link to register.

About the Organizer

Based in New Cairo, Cairo Runners is the first street-running sports community in Egypt. They provide mini-marathons and promote environmental sustainability in sports. Cairo Runners has been producing an average of 2,500 runners every week.
